The XXI National Congress of Training Companies, organised by CECAP last weekend in Madrid, was the setting chosen for the launch of Erudita Desk.
During the three days that the Congress lasted, Erudita Desk could be visited at one of the stands within the Congress premises. With over 300 congress attendants, the launch of the desk was a success receiving very positive feedback from visitors.
The public was presented with the standard Erudita Desk, designed to contain small-size central processing units, and Erudita Desk with an accessory, which is suited for standard-size CPUs.
Standard Erudita Desk is characerized by the lightness of its structure since there are no back and lateral sheets. The accessory for standard-size CPUs consists of adding back and lateral sheets that will allow bigger CPUs to be hidden inside the desk.
Successful proof test of Erudita Desks

NEW SCHOOL II was the first training centre to put Erudita Desk to the test when it refurnished its 2 computer rooms with the new desks.
With the aim of proof testing Erudita Desks with students and teachers to get as much feedback as possible, 22 Erudita Desks were installed in the two most busy classrooms now transformed into versatile multipurpose rooms.
The need to have multipurpose classrooms had arisen several times in the past when different types of content had to be taught in one course or the computer lab room remained empty because the PCs made normal lectures uncomfortable.
Peter Benning, NEW SCHOOL II co-founder and manager, explains that “it is a widespread problem within training centres and in-company training to have classrooms that can’t be used when you have all the courses up and running as it translates into less resource efficiency thus losing other possible courses”.
The results were a success both for students and teachers since, according to the latter “Erudita Desk does not only optimize space but also adds new dimensions to the way one can teach a traditional lesson by being able to include multimedia elements at any time“.
Also students’ feedback was very positive as they appreciated “being able to have several lessons in one”.
